President Harry S. Truman's remarks upon receiving the Armed Forces Reserve Medal, Oval Office, White House. Text of remarks not found in Public Papers. The Armed Forces Reserve Medal was authorized for issue to Reserve Officers, and the Association arranged with Secretary Pace to secure the first medal for presentation to the President.
